I totally agree with you in regards to Fairfax and in the fact that share price is meaningless vs EV. I own penny stocks and constellation software.

 

I was more highlighting the biases that are present in investing. Some are hard to shake and can negatively affect our performance. 

 

The three guys I mentioned above are all "smart" in the intellectual sense but also extremely successful in business. No matter their chops they have major bias. 

 

Best friend runs sales for a multinational and is involved in PE. 

 

FIL ran a unit of a global conglomerate and has had a very successful career in business.

 

Polymath friend is a neuroscientist by training and has cashed out two startups so far. He's 40 like me.

Going to break into top 20 at some point. All time high today. Up 24.95% YTD.

 

Yoga pants is 34.
