European Markets and Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR)

Interactive Brokers in its infinite wisdom pop the EMIR on my log in page.  It won't allow me to go beyond until I have answered the question of whether I have EMIR or need it etc.  I have no idea what is EMIR.  Anyone has any thoughts?

I suppose your issue at hand is about a missing LEI code. Wikipedia : Legal Entity Identifier.

 

I'm assuming here that your account at Interactive Brokers is a "professional" account [account for some kind of legal entity, in the Wikipedia article described as accounts for "... non-individual participants in the financial markets ..."]. My assumption may be wrong though.
