schin Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Does anyone remember the graduating senior who wrote Buffett a letter to pay Warren to work for him? Warren eventually gave him a job.. but, I never found out how it turned out? Is the guy still there? What became of him?
Parsad Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Do you mean Ian Jacob, the fellow who actually worked at Berkshire Hathaway, or Byron Trott, who was the analyst at Goldman Sachs that started his own fund? Jacob's fund is called the "402 Fund LLP" and Trott's fund is called "BDT Capital Partners". No idea what their results were in 2009, but they both started their funds after the markets crashed, so they must have done fine. Cheers!
schin Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Probably Ian Jacob -- the one that worked for Buffett. I never got his name. Thanks for the info, Sanjeev.

He's smart! Has commercial real estate bottomed? I don't think so. But you buy when few want to. Cheers!
