Value_Added Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 This may be the wrong place to ask this but I didn’t want to start a new thread for something that fits here. In a Japanese business I’m reviewing the financials for, there is a section that states the “total number of issuable shares” and a section that states “total number of issued shares”. Can someone please give me some guidance on how I should be looking at this in regards to valuation and any per share metrics? On all other company financial documents including the sections stating stock ownership and percentages, the percentages are based on the issued shares number, not issuable shares. The share repurchase documents also state repurchase of a certain percentage based on the issued amount. The shares outstanding on Tikr also show the issued amount versus issuable amount. there is a huge difference between issuable and issued: -Issuable = 120 million -Issued = 36 million Thanks
hasilp89 Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 I’m assuming the issued number is what you want. Similar to how a US balance sheet shows authorized and outstanding on the common stock line.
