  1. BMY is not so expensive. EPS this year are estimated at $6.38 and were $4.69 last year. $7.45 next year.

Probably bought most of it at $58-60 with a 3% yield so not bad.

I actually looked at them and decided to pass. I bought BMY way back in 2004 if I recall properly and it went nowhere fast.

They are always fighting to standstill with never ending patent expirations. It is hard to grow sales. Intense competition, products always more expensive to develop. Also, always pretty hard to figure out what is true free cash flow because there are always acquisitions and other elements by-passing earnings statements. Are they growth capex or maintenance capex?

Still there are worst things to buy and in the $100 billion+ category it is one of the few cheap spots.

  2. That is right. They should STFU to say it mildly.

Do you imagine solving world's problems if we relied entirely on government and so-called scientists such as this great WHO?

Covid is a crystal clear example of their abysmal failure and that private enterprise and market forces are the way to go.

  3. Seriously who in this world believes in equality?

And I think it is really important to broaden the term, as some have done in this thread, since money is only a resulting factor of seeking "inequality".

Look at parents, they are all amazed and brag about their kids learning progress such as learning to walk and speak while vast majority of kids are undeniably following the average: normal curve.

Same in sport: which kid play football/soccer to match the opposite team? Who is not proud to score a goal?

Dating: where is the smart and good looking girl ending up with?

These are worldwide phenomenon. That is how our DNA is made up.

It is also why the U.S. has been so successful because it has allowed and encouraged this on steroids.

Ask RB why he was debating to buy to his mom a Lexus vs another luxury brand a few years back? I mean why not a Toyota Corolla?

You cannot and should not preach things that you do not believe in yourself.

  4. "There's also less gold nuts speculating in silver so your price won't get whipped as much based on "mood"."

When you are in a hole you should stop digging.

Silver is a tiny market highly more volatile than gold. It has terrific fundamentals but, to mention that it is less subject to "mood" than gold is either ignorance or irresponsibility.

  5. She must be big time vaginal instead of clitoral as most women. Unless she likes the newfound tickle effect of a mask?

I mean what a F'in idiot and that is what we have for health representative?

Ontario had record cases yesterday and wanna bet another record today? Thank God we have private enterprise developing multiple cure and vaccines instead of these idiots politicians and WHO only providing useless guidelines which change from one day to the next.

Quebec which is a hot spot for Covid and deeply socialist have shut down restaurants, gyms and most entertainment, yet they have allowed Halloween or kids to go collect candies door to door.... Super-spreaders anyone? How could you be so stupid?

Meantime I understand it is $1,000/person fine for being caught meeting a family member...

  6. Such empty statements again from that RB...

Warren Buffett had quasi-cornered the silver market in 1997. Then authorities likely told him politely to sell (at a nice profit) since he was such authoritative figure being involved in precious metals. Don't want to break the Fed and they eventually lost control.

Peter Cundill must have had a big dick too in the early 2000's buying gold stocks for his fund.

  7. Vaccine news has created sell-off in gold but, this is very short sighted considering massive debt having been and continuing to pile up in developed countries. Fed and European Central Bank will remain super accommodative and real yields will continue to be negative.

Some mid-cap names offer mouth watering free cash flow yields at current prices and balance sheets are in terrific shape.

Names like DPM, IMG and AR are pretty interesting.

I made really good money on these, sold, now getting back in.

  8. It is awesome Gregmal! GO Fighting Irish!

Before we only had to take our country back. Now we have to take our life back.

But, hey they were wearing masks so it should be no problem. No?
