I thought this board would like to know that I wrote Warren in May of 1999. At the time he was saying the 2nd edition of Security Analysis was the best so I wondered if he had a favorite edition of The Intelligent Investor. He wrote me back on May 18, 1999 and said "I think all of the editions of THE INTELLIGENT INVESTOR are about the same, but I lean toward the first one for sentimental reasons." I'm guessing in 1999 there were probably 5 editions out. If I was smart enough I would post the letter. Happy Holidays,

I have written Warren 3 times over the years and he has always responded. I always put a return self addressed envelop WITH POSTAGE in the letter. I wrote him a simple question about a month before the annual meeting. I just wanted his opinion on Dividend Reinvestment Plans on Great companies like Coke. Sad to say 1st time no response. Maybe he's backed up and it will come some day. Wishful thinking (:. But it is always great to get a letter from your hero. D Valliant

During the show last night Warren mentioned. his heroes. He said his dad and Graham which we all know. But he also mentioned a Rosenthal who I have never heard of. Does anyone know anything about him? Thank, Dave

Could someone explain if a company like TD Ameritrade had financial problems. Would we be able to get our stocks and cash held by them back?
