Good interview.

I think this is all semantics.
Theoretically we own a prorata portion, realistically at .0000001% of holding we own a piece of paper or zeros and ones in a database.
There is a difference between own and control. Ownership doesnt amount to much if someone you doesnt trust has control .

This could be a game changer.
Buffett has found a team who will do his dirty work, and he can fund it.
They can fix it. Probably can even sale it onces its down, claiming its a partnership....

value trap. Gun control is off the agenda. No pent up demand, Obama is gone in 2016.
The easy money has been made. This is like buying oil at $140, you are buying at the top of the market.
-
Costs significantly higher, but offset in full by salaries inmo.
Melbourne is like NYC cost wise, housing and beers are expensive coming from Texas.
Quality of life is very good - Much bigger middle class than the US. You can work in a Manhattan type neighborhood at the grocery store, and live in Manhattan here.
Minimum wage is around $16 an hour and most people dont get out of bed for less than $20.
I had some Aussie friends watch this and it scared the hell out of them - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/two-american-families/
You can make more money at the top end in the US, but the lifestyle here is quite good.

From Texas, currently living in Melbourne.

You guys have me a bit worried.
I plan on raising cash after earnings season shakes out.
Already have a few ideas on what will be sold.
-
You got that everyone? No more Biglari bashing. You heard it here first. Ha.
LOL

Whats most interesting about this is watching "value investors" who hold stock try to justify his actions. Its quite amusing.
-
Very good interview, really enjoyed it.

Rough I saw this yesterday.
Confirms his preference for slow and boring, makes you wonder about BYD...
This sounded like a great business plan, but I guess they always do.

Here is Goldman Sachs' predicting the Australian dollar can fall to 80 cents versus the US Dollar.
I work for an importer, and the 6% drop has been slightly painful. A move to 80 cents would hurt.

ragu are you affiliated with BH / Sardar aside from investing in shares?

Nothing all that new, but still a rather chilling video.

I really enjoyed this thanks.

100%, we are fast approaching March. Should be interesting.

I have never seen authors and use the RSS every day.

I knew NGL prices would be killed similarly to Nat Gas prices. CHK strikes again.
-
Price went down, value went up ???
I tell myself that too as well. LOL
-
Hey thanks Plan will check it out when I get a chance. How do you rate the documentary?

After Alnesh went through his divorce, he decided he's going to ask for tax returns from prospective partners...they must bring equal or better assets and income into the relationship! ;D So far no dates...may have to modify his request! Cheers!
He should just rent instead of buying, its often cheaper 8)

Personally I think this is a bad trend. I can see 1 quarter worth paid early, but to pay a div for the next 4 years is ridiculous. Why would someone buy the stock after the div?
-
I had a very small buy order in for Monday or Tuesday and it gaped up 7%.....
Bumper year inmo likely due to consolidation, Thai flooding, and continued growth in storage demand due to social media / the cloud.
