Most credit card companies operate at a 20-1 loan to equity...if you're loan losses amount to 5%, which is barely higher than the current charge off rate, you are out of business. If it peaks at nearly 11% like during the GFC, the credit company is completely insolvent! Cheers!

What do you consider usurious? Usury rates in North America are defined as 60% annualized or greater. Do you think it should be 10% as Trump does? Do you think it should be 15%? How about 20%? I would rather see banks and institutions reduce their ridiculous service charges for bullshit items...$40 for a wire in Canada...foreign exchange fees with a surcharge on credit cards...stupid oversized annual fees on credit card...etc. But stopping a corporation from charging rates that allow them a profit after loan losses...that's not in the purview of the government unless it is extremely excessive. Credit cards are a tool...how you use any tool is up to the individual. Should we get rid of bank loans as well? Why borrow from a bank...just save the money then buy a house or car. Let's get rid of margin accounts at the same time. Your moral high ground is great from a theoretical standpoint, but makes zero sense when viewed realistically. Personally, I would prefer if credit cards, pay day loan companies, non-traditional lenders, gambling, alcohol, strip joints, etc didn't exist. What happens is it just moves underground. It is stupid and reckless. They should have been arrested and their car impounded. They also should have been charged with assault with a weapon. But this wasn't even attempted vehicular manslaughter...let alone attempted murder with a weapon. No reason they should have been shot. Compare that to the riot at the Capitol...protestors turned rioters breaking into the Capitol building while in session. Not a mall or office buildings, the Capitol building! Politicians barricaded in the chamber floors, fearing for their lives, while officers stood guard over the entry with their guns drawn. Rioters attempting to break the doors...not a handful of rioters, but dozens...enough that would have easily overwhelmed the officers even with their sidearms. A woman rioter is shot and killed...but that still doesn't stop the rioters. They continue to run wild through the Capitol building attacking police officers and destroying government property. You say that she wasn't respecting authority...yet the rioters en masse were doing the same and were running through the Capital building screaming to hang certain politicians. I can understand how you think the media is biased on many issues...but how can you deny, with a straight fucking face, that January 6th wasn't a riot and that many of those that received pardons, particularly the violent, armed rioters rampaging through the Capital building, should have received such pardons? There is no debating this...just plain wrong...and that is what any responsible person would tell their own children and grandchildren. Cheers!

I agree with most of that. They weren't just innocent bystanders...they were taping and provoking the ICE agent. At the same time, what you guys call TDS...well no President does shit like him...sending ICE into different states with no request from the Governors...sending ICE into schools, offices, daycares, neighborhoods, etc without any consideration of citizens, let alone aliens or illegals. We also know for a fact that the massive recruitment has put a ton of unqualified ICE agents into the field. There has been disregard for due process, lack of transparency on arrests and deportations, aggressive behavior with non-illegals even when not provoked, etc. It's easy to blame protestors or those that disagree...because it's easy to do! And then label their behavior so that you don't actually have to confront, understand and deal with what is happening from their perspective. Frankly, I think both were at fault...why did she drive away...she knew who they were and she parked her car right in between two other vehicles.
