Looking at this now. Could you please, in a few words, explain why you bought these two, in the context of buying them at the same time? Hi Cigarbutt - I bought TLT thinking that the move in rates seems like it’s a bit overdone, lots of people are short long bonds and after hearing Trump’s comments about the Fed thinking that they might reverse course or at least lighten up on the raises. Took a bit off today when it moved up. Regarding TIP it was more of a diversification move/buying fire insurance before the fire, etc. Added to ABBV, BNS, KHC and KIM. Started a position in BPR. I think of buying PM (and maybe MO and BAT) too. What i dont like, is the payout Ratio, which getting Close to 100%. Whats your opinion on that and what do you like about PM? If you like, u can PM me. I saw a lot of people in here buying MO in the last time. Maybe someone of the buyers is willing to give me an insight about my concerns regarding the payout Ratio issue highlighted the post before, here or as a PM. Hi John -no, I sold SBRCY at a slight gain well before the big run up. The only Russian stocks I hold now are Gazprom and MBT - not that I necessarily like either of them here, but am content collecting the dividends until/if they run up. Thanks Lance

I’ve been buying yieldy stuff as things sell off - i.e. D, PPL, BRX, KIM, MO, PM and PG - some of which I sell (in part or in whole) when they’ve recovered and some of which I hold if I think the dividend is safe. Why? Curious, myself. BTFD ;D LOL! I suppose BTFD is as good an answer as any. I don't think it's necessarily cheap here, but it's cheaper than it was and a quality stock I've followed forever but never purchased - added to my wife's IRA, which consists of high quality, somewhat boring blue chips.
