  1. Exactly
  2. Hate him as much as you like. This is exactly what he did with NATO, 7 years ago, and got exactly what he wanted. The Europeans despised him (still do) and it worked out tremendously to NATO's benefit.
  3. It's a shame that now days, these large omni-bus bills are the only things that get passed anymore. Since congress fails to do it's job - the only way to get things done is via executive orders.
  4. I understand that. My guess is they get most of the details handled before the elections, then formalized afterwards. These guys don't want to wait around as there is too much at stake.
  5. Uh, yeah, that would be right on...
  6. Sure I would! I'm not avoiding anything.
  7. That's easy. Then you don't sign a trade agreement.
  8. Can you trust China? Yeah, that’s worked out well. Korea & Japan have elections coming up. There is plenty of incentive for them to get deal frameworks agreed to, before the elections, so they have platforms to run on. I doubt their candidates are gonna say “let’s cozy up to China” I doubt India & Taiwan want that either. Those 4 get moving and I’d say we’re looking pretty good.
  9. I doubt it. Once India, S Korea and Japan agree to trade deals, it’s going to be off to the races. If you think you can trust China, then you’re dreaming. China doesn’t do anyone any favors without extracting their pound of flesh. Good luck with that!
  10. Actually, since Congress has refused to do their job for years - executive orders is the only way to get anything done anymore. Border security is the perfect example - it's a stunning success only due to POTUS - since Congress has punted on it for years.
  11. It's not insane at all when you saw how the career bureaucrats worked so dishonestly to sabatoge President Trump's first term, for no reason other than they thought they ran the country, not the people's elected President. They earned this housecleaning.
  12. If that is the case, why are they all negotiating with the administration for new deals? If they fall, the others will come running, including the European Union.
  13. What happens if India, S Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia start to strike deals?
  14. If India, Japan, S Korea strike deals, gonna get interesting.
  15. Awful. Sounds like California, where the numbers are higher. Big black market economy. 40% of residents on MediCal, 25% on welfare. So much fraud, too many incentives not to work.
  16. The established, do nothing Republican Party hated Trump. He refused to be a Washington insider that would cave to the DC lobbies. They couldn't stand that he took his direction from the people outside of Washington. So, as much as the Democrats hated Trump, the RINO's hated him equally. It took Trump years to get control of the Republican Party, now he's there. The old Republican party is gone, after the inter-party war, and a much broader coalition has formed, including blacks, hispanics and Jews. That's MAGA. Now you are seeing the Democrats, go through their own inter-party war, where their coaltion has totally melted down.
  17. 100%, but the Republican losers like Romney, McConnell, Ryan, etc - worked only for their lobbyists. They could give a crap about their constituents. It's quite amazing to see the traditional party of the working class class, become the party of Davos. So first Trump wrecks the Republican Party, and now the traditional Democratic coalition is in total meltdown mode. Interesting times.
  18. That's a pretty great summary of gov failure (both parties). So now the issue is how to fix it. And certainly why Trump was elected. He's taken on a very difficult issue.
  19. There is so much wrong with the Western world, it's a disease.
  20. Awesome. And to top it off, Bessent dropping the same hammer on the IMF and World Bank today. That ought to rile things up!
  21. Hilarious!
  22. Didn't you get the memo? We're all gonna die
  23. I enjoyed this interview with Steve Eisman re: his interpretation of tariffs, DOGE, etc

  25. .... and morale is soaring in the Military under Hegseth. No more recruiting crisis. Troops love him: https://www.military.com/daily-news/2025/04/21/army-recruiting-upswing-service-hits-85-of-annual-goal-5-months-left.html
