  1. Makes sense, John - that is one way to do it. The issue is there are different standards of voter eligibility in different places in the US. There is no legitimate reason for not having identical rules and standards in every election everywhere in the US. The disparity is what raises questions and all the loose standards are in places where one political party happens to dominate with policies like open borders and minimal law enforcement. It is the very same disparity and divide responsible for electing Trump. And it is the same political party opposing a simple rule requiring Voter ID to vote that lost every swing State (the only States that truly matter in US Presidential elections) and can't answer a simple question, why?
  2. But why should it be "easy" or "free"? For all of us who get driver's licenses, passports, etc.. it takes a bit of time and effort and there is a small cost. If one chooses not to endure a bit of inconvenience don't vote (and perhaps live somewhere else).
  3. Precisely the kind of comment that precludes further discussion.
  4. Why don't you rethink your "cultist" ideals and then maybe some here will choose to engage with you more substantively.
  5. I think they make more sense on some countries than others.
  6. Again (for the ??) time I don't agree with every single decision made by our President. But I didn't agree with ANY decision made by the prior President. How hard is that to understand?
  7. In a vacuum, 50% tariffs on India are not good. But what many fail to recognize is the tariffs are not intended to be permanent; they are intended to achieve a purpose. If 50% tariffs make India think twice about who they buy their oil from, I'M OK with it for now.
  8. LOL, go ahead and short the market and the USA; I'll take the other side of that bet all day long.
  9. What does that even mean? If the end result is more trade with our trading partners and less onerous tariffs on our products, why is that a problem?
  10. "What is equal trade?" A whole lot better than what we had. Resorting to the "Trump is dumb, corrupt, self enriching" nonsense is more brain dead than your accusations of my comments regarding trade. If we come out ahead, will there be any acknowledgement that sometimes the ends justify the means?
  11. Sorry your feelings are so hurt but that sounds like a pretty lame argument to be perfectly candid. If the end result is more equal trade, it is a win. The jury is still out but hurt feelings don't enter into the equation.
  12. Your characterization is wrong. ICE doing their job is not "intimidation". No legal citizen in the U.S. should be the least bit intimidated by ICE. Unlike Canada, the USA has a 2nd constitutional amendment. No one is asking any non-citizen whether they agree with it or feel comfortable. Likewise, no one needs the permission of non-citizens as to how to enforce our laws. You are correct that illegal immigration and open borders were a problem. More ICE is the direct consequence of past failures. Once these failures have ben corrected the need for ICE will hopefully be reduced.
  13. Right. I hope ICE shows up at every polling station not requiring ID. That's what I voted for. More law enforcement, not less.
  14. Logic means nothing to irrational people.
  15. I've never met anyone who doesn't carry ID with them pretty much always unless they are in fear of being identified. The issue could be easily rectified if all States required ID for voting and it is telling which States don't. Buenas Noches to you and your bretheren.
  16. You never answered Cubs question: Who drives to a voting booth without a driver's license? And why would any legal resident of this Country not have a valid ID? And if you don't, why would you be stupid enough to show up at a voting booth knowing that Ice agents may be there?
  17. Again, wrong. You don't need ICE in places where you are required to present ID to vote b/c everyone is presumably legal. In places that don't require ID you are encouraging illegals to vote so there is nothing wrong with ICE being there to check IDs even if the States don't require them. If you've got ID, what exactly is the issue? If not, maybe you just won't show up.
  18. If illegals aren't voting, they have nothing to worry about at voting booths.
  19. No, I'm not in law enforcement but unlike you, I trust them to do their jobs. You'd rather have illegals vote. Good thing the country came to its senses last time around. Those States that allow for anyone to vote without identification are where you find the most illegals trying to illegally vote. Its not rocket science.
  20. And you get to decide what is "proper"? Don't make me laugh any harder, I'm already falling out of my chair.
  21. No, people who think like you that everyone in law enforcement is corrupt and are only in it for malevolent purposes are comical theater to the rest of us.
  22. Wrong. So wrong. They are there to do their jobs.
  23. That's ridiculous; why would they?
  24. Therein lies the problem. It is insanity that you don't have to prove who you are before you can vote in any election in this Country. And there is no legitimate reason for it. Again, any wonder why Trump was elected?
  25. So then it is taxed as a Revocable Trust to the Grantor. I'll have to research this some. Thanks.
