  1. People who pay the most taxes are probably more concerned about tax cuts. Beyond that, how tax dollars are spent matters a lot. In that sense I'm somewhat less concerned about tax cuts under this administration than the last one. No one would argue that the government doesn't need tax dollars to function. But when taxpayers see their tax dollars misallocated or even worse, spent on programs they find personally abhorrent, tax minimization is most logical.
  2. Perhaps you'd prefer to sleep next to a different elephant?
  3. Well, if someone appoints you to the US Supreme Court you get to make that call. Otherwise facts will win out over conjecture.
  4. Let me ask the same question a different way: Don't all investments need a catalyst? What is the catalyst for BTC?
  5. Congratulations. I have nearly equal ties to Canada but never once felt the need or desire to comment on Canada's former leader.
  6. Closed off to who - illegal immigrants? Anyone is welcome if they go about it the proper way. Problem is, one select group prefers to make apologies for who we are. In a way you're right - we need protection from those folks and the strength to stand up to them and to a World that increasingly doesn't do us any favors.
  7. You can argue anything you want. As someone with a vested interest in Israel, I can say the Country is a whole lot safer now than before. The trade issues will take time (who said it wouldn't) and perhaps you prefer the likes of Bernie, Liz and the likely future mayor of NYC but I don't and anything that can be done to demonstrate that socialism is not a path forward is acceptable. And the military is actually ATTRACTING new recruits.
  8. The question is WHY you feel so compelled to comment? Is it really that important to you or does it affect you in any way? To me it looks like the TDS thing that plagues so many.
  9. Agreed. And I don't care for her either.
  10. He may be ignoring *your version* of the Constitution (that doesn't even apply to you). But we have a Supreme Court to make those determinations and any thoughts until that time are mere conjecture. But we like conjecture here.
  11. Biden was a centrist back in his Senate days but by the time he was elected President he had sold his sole to the far Left. The irony is Trump is not even a Republican. Most of the policies he stands for are, or should be centrist. Why would any American have an issue with the concept of "America first"? If anyone favors China, Russia, India or any other country over our own, go live there. But they would rather just shoot the messenger because it is too easy and requires no consideration of the alternative. Likewise they can't stand the fact that he finally exposed the main stream media and single handedly defeated a corrupt government that was intent on permanently taking him down. Yet people - even here call him stupid. Just sad, really.
  12. That's ideology - not reality. The reality is the country is very divided. Now you can ask how that came about and its worthy of an entirely different conversation. But a centrist would not be electable today by the masses.
  13. People with an agenda latch onto the easiest, most convenient way to attack an opponent or someone they don't like. With Trump its easy, just attack his person. Or cherry pick policies you don't agree with. But that's entirely useless when it comes to binary elections. From my perspective we were heading down the shitter, and fast. Regrettably and as you said, we needed someone like Trump to right the ship. The policies on the other side are dangerous - less law enforcement, no border control, subsidize everything for everyone, refuse to recognize the difference between genders, ignore history you don't like and destroy any evidence so no one can learn from it..... and on and on and on.
  14. His timeline has been remarkably accurate if you care to look at it objectively. Closed border, largely eliminated woke agenda, dealt with Israel/Iran, attempted to bring trade in balance with tariffs, extended the prior tax laws, embraced capitalism, strengthened the military etc.... Yeah, those are the policies I voted for. Could care less about "the guy" or what anyone thinks of him.
  15. "You guys"? Who is that? Can't speak for others but I kept my opinion about Biden completely to myself. You are here judging an entire 4 year term after less than 7 months. No difference than me telling you your LULU investment sucks. Neither one make a damn bit of sense because they would both be laughably premature.
  16. And do you hold anyone, including your own leaders, friends, family members, or even yourself to a similar timeline? Has anyone you have ever known, or even knew of, suggested such an ambitious agenda? I don't know about you but I wait until the final curtain call before passing judgment. In terms we can all relate to, would you care to judge your final LULU investment by the results up to today?
  17. OK, but I thought the entire investment thesis depended on more adaptation and usage.
  18. Sanjeev, can you measure time? If so, how long has he been in office? How long does he still have in his term? Geez, sometimes when you let politics get in the way....
  19. It works both ways. No matter what successes Trump achieves he will always be looked down on by his opponents. So at the end of the day, who cares what anyone says or thinks? Results - good or bad - are all that matter and at least we've got someone in office who is making an effort.
  20. Doesn't BTC require usage to support and increase its value?
  21. Yep. My fear is when the bubble finally bursts, it will happen fast. It will probably create a short-lived buying opportunity for everything left in its wake.
  22. Yeah but no one really needs crime statistics to know there is a problem. I mean they can talk about how crime in DC has fallen all day long but did anyone in DC notice or feel safer - at least up until very recently? And the most telling crime "statistic" as to any specific location is whether you would choose to live there. I don't know what the answer is, but the answer is certainly not LESS law enforcement. That is one of many issues I have with the Left.
  23. True. And clearly the statistics are distorted as there are pockets of most cities where the majority of all serious crimes are committed. The issue is who controls those areas and what, if anything is being done about it? As for nearly everything but murders I would question any statistics because a large percentage of crimes go unreported.
  24. Where were you during Biden's term? If he said or did anything remotely competent I missed it.
  25. 1) Recently answered in a prior post in this thread. 2) Can't be explained because anything more than 100% doesn't make mathematical sense unless folks will be paid (a lot!) to buy prescription drugs.
