fareastwarriors Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 What kind of insurance is he referencing to exactly? Is it P&C? “We would like to get into the commercial-insurance business very big time,” Buffett, 82, said yesterday in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Betty Liu, before the company’s annual meeting this weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. “We hired them because they’re very good at the commercial insurance business.”
mranski Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I would guess commercial property, commercial general liability, business professional liability etc. Aig's bread and butter I think . Could be a pretty long runway for Berkshire and they will be formidable competition. Not sure how much this will affect Markel. Next step, Geico and home insurance?
