dcollon Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Since the news is generally slow today and I'm sick of hearing about those people that supposedly work hard in a district out east I thought I would post one of my favorite speeches from Charlie Munger. It's a great read on most any day, but certainly a day like today. Happy New Year to everyone. Munger_USC_April_14_1994.pdf

It's a great read on most any day, but certainly a day like today. Happy New Year to everyone. Reading "Investing: The Last Liberal Art", this speech is the intro. Reading Munger always puts a smile on my face.
dcollon Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 compoundinglife, I totally agree. Just because we're on the discussion, I attached another one of my favorites. Munger_Guaranteed_Misery_in_Life.pdf
netnet Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Excellent point, to re-read Munger instead of listening to the talking heads or reading some drivel that purports to explain why the market moved as it did the day before. Happy New Year

I have not read that one before. I think I might make it new years resolution to read that once a week for the next year. Tons of wisdom in there. Now to see if I can find Johnny Carson's commencent speech as well.
giofranchi Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Thank you very much dcollon, I had already read both speeches on “Poor Charlie’s Almanack”, anyway it is always useful to have pdf copies! :) giofranchi
