FrankArabia Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 what about Munger? what da heck is he doing these days?
jay21 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 what about Munger? what da heck is he doing these days? Does anyone know which picks in BRK's history have been Munger's?
racemize Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 don't they talk about everything anyway? Seems like it's either buffett or buffett/munger every time.
jay21 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I thought Buffet said they do not communicate what each is buying.
twacowfca Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 what about Munger? what da heck is he doing these days? Does anyone know which picks in BRK's history have been Munger's? BYD has been the only apparent Munger pick in recent years. If you go back and read the WESCO shareholders letters, you'll find that Charlie generally bought the pick of the litter stocks that Warren bought. The inevitables. Warren credits Charlie with getting him focused on buying better businesses rather than balance sheet bargains. Warren has done very little stock picking recently other than increasing the holding in a favorite company. IBM is only sort of an exception, because Warren and, before him, Benjamin studied it for a combined total of 98 years since Graham worked with their earlier tabulating machines and invented some of the sorting routines that eventually became part of the programs for computers.
Guest rimm_never_sleeps Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 PG, Kraft, JNJ, USB and COP are probably all Buffett reductions.
benchmark Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 PG, Kraft, JNJ, USB and COP are probably all Buffett reductions. I'm surprised that he trimmed USB, which I thought is similar to WFC, which he added
