txlaw Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-09-25/obama-says-nfl-needs-to-get-regular-referees-back-in-games.html Okay, Obama's definitely got my vote locked down now. Packer, you gonna change your mind on who you're voting for?
Packer16 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Probably not but this is the first time Obama and Ryan have agreed on most anything so hopefully it will get done. I really do think this becoming a safety issue as the refs seem to be hesitant to call defensive back penelties and the players and coaches know it. This is worse than the bounties from last year. Packer
txlaw Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Agreed. The Aaron Rodgers interview pretty much sums it up regarding the whole situation.
Parsad Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 It's been pretty brutal. And a number of players have been put in dangerous, compromising positions. With these refs, you don't know what is going to happen, because players are playing fast and loose with the hits. I've seen a lot of retribution hits during play, and roughing after plays. The professional refs are much better at getting this stuff under control. Cheers!
txlaw Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 I have to admit, though. It's been very entertaining watching these crazy games.
Packer16 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I heard the ref that called the paly works for Bank of America. I hope he has better judgement in his job than in his part time ref position. Packer
