jonzuc Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 I purchased Nova Chemicals at an average per share cost of $6.12. I viewed it as being undervalued getting to this price. At it's current price, I think Nova is now a deep value play, and a perfect candidate for the sort of equity injection Fairfax Financial might give. Any comments from the board? Jonz
alertmeipp Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 risky play IMO. They can go under easily if the demand does not pick up soon enough.
Phoenix01 Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 NCX also caught my attantion, but I turned down the idea because they burn cash. They seem to need the "Alberta Advantage" to help them complete.
jonzuc Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Thank you alertmeipp and Phoenix01, your comments were much appreciated. I'll see what the end of month brings with their cash flow problems. Management in their latest webcast stated they are quite confident in their financing arrangements and a positive outlook going forward. Jonz
