Munger_Disciple
augustabound, I disabled all the extensions to Chrome, and it seems to work much faster now. I need to try this during the work week when the web sites have heavier traffic to see if this is indeed the problem or not. If it still works during the week, I will try to enable these extensions one by one and see which one is the culprit. Thanks for your suggestions. Smazz, it looks like your question about History button was already answered by others.
Smazz
Thanks Sreenr BTW, do you know how to add on a one touch history button on toolbar somewhere? without having to go into the wrench each time? TIA Right click on the back arrow on the top left. The last option is history. Which wouldn't be any faster. Still two clicks. :D For a "one touch history button" you can go to history (chrome://history/) and then add the page to your 'bookmarks bar'. :) Thankyou, this is the option I am using now - works perfect! augustabound
I've been using Chrome for the last couple of months and haven't found the speed that some claim it has. At first I found it pretty quick, but that didn't last very long.
Smazz
I still find it much better than what i was used to. no complaints
augustabound
My biggest complaint isn't the speed when browsing, I get annoyed when pages don't load. It happens more in Chrome than it ever did in Firefox for me. When that happens, I have to close the current tab then re-open it and that usually does the trick. I may go back to Firefox for a couple of weeks just out of curiosity.
