Uccmal Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Good article, misleading title. They were all kids or very young adults in the depression not 40 something investors.
Guest HarryLong Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Article in Smartmoney with Irving Kahn, Walter Schloss and Seth Glickenhaus. Cheers! http://www.smartmoney.com/Investing/Stocks/Stock-Pros-Who-Survived-the-Depression/?page=all I really like Mr. G. He is an incredibly impressive human being. Even if I disagree with him on a specific situation, I find his thought process to be absolutely fascinating, and I get a lot out of it. He's the kind of guy who will meet with youngsters and give them time. He is really tough as well. No shrinking violet, but that makes him all the more interesting. Very good guy, and very open-minded. I find the older value investors to be very open to all different types of thinking. It's the younger guys who are a bit more limited in their outlook until they get knocked around a bit by markets or by life.
