Guest dempster Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 http://www.noisefreeinvesting.com/blog/?p=884 Special thanks to Miguel Barbosa, Joe Koster, Max Olson, David, and distressed debt investing for finding and compiling these in an easy to read format.
frog03 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Thanks, very interesting. From 1990 to 2001 Klarman seriously underperformed the S&P 500. There is no question he beat the indices from 2001 till now but would be interesting to know by how much on a year to year basis. Anybody got this information?
MartinWhitman Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Thanks a lot! Would anyone have access to the letters from 2002-2008 ? All I can offer is the 2003 letter...
vishmitt Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Pls. mail the 2003 letter to [email protected] I have part of 2005 letter...
CruiseTown Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Would love to see his 2001+ letters. Wondering if anyone else has some insight into his performance. His 10 year track record from 1991-2001 was pretty good about ~12% p.a. but this is no where quite near the 20+% that he is said to have achieved. Any thoughts? Also noticed that he underperformed the market 7 out of 10 years (I do realize 1998-2001 were anomalies).
dcollon Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Dempster, Thanks very much for posting. I look forward to reading them. David
