Parsad Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 WSJ article on the Berkshire/Wesco offer. Cheers! http://online.wsj.com/article/SB20001424052748704392104575476080692051968.html
Guest ValueCarl Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 With Betty and her grandchildren picking peaches in the Napa Valley, you can almost be sure she won't bite the hand which has "insured" her comfort levels for so many years. Of course, Mr. Munger could be routinely heard at the WESCO meetings in recent years, describing the lunacy of that shareholder base paying such a "premium" tied to the value of the stock price in order to hear him speak! More often than not, they got their moneys worth and some! ;D This year, he basically "spelled out" for any astute ears listening, Berkshire's intent to buy the remaining piece for full "control."
shalab Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 What is the best way to continue compounding your money in a tax free way? - convert the WSC shares to BRK shares. This is a no brainer decision and I doubt it will go the other way.
