Good morning,

 

Last evening we issued a press release reinforcing that neither Fairfax or Prem are on social media and we do not put out information on social media including financial advice.

 

The reason for the press release is that over the last number of weeks people are posting on social media financial advice and stock picks under Prem’s name.  It started on WhatsApp, then Facebook and Instagram.  We have been receiving many incoming messages asking whether this was legitimate.  Obviously it was all fraudulent. As the social media posts increased this week we decided to issue a press release to set the record straight.

 

This is not unique to Fairfax or Prem but we wanted to address the situation.
