If i'm a shareholder in Canada, when should i expect to get mine? i imagine they don't just come automatically.

You'll get an annual report. I just got mine on Monday. Mail in the postcard attached for up to 4 passes. Plenty of time.

What other company in the world would be able to charge for its annual meeting?  :)

I get my reports electronically. If you print out the form on the proxy and send it in is that OK or do you need to have the original.

CaptK, Sending in the printed form will work.  Had to do that myself a couple years ago.

I'm not sure if that question was for me or not. I was detained for several hours last time I flew into Canada. Never again.

They actually don't charge for the annual meeting.

 

Years ago, Buffett realized that some shareholders might try to scalp the passes to his annual meeting, and he didn't want people to have to pay some exorbitant sum to come see him. He decided that he would charge $5.00 to cover the cost of shipping & handling to thwart scalpers.

Newbie here - how long does it typically take for BRK to process and send back the passes by snail mail? Sending snail mail tmrw, just want to make sure I don't miss out (should I put a tracking no.?)
