eclecticvalue Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2016/03/10/meet-forcerank-the-fanduel-for-stocks/ Interesting idea.
Guest Schwab711 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What market savvy folks would play this? In exchange for lower-cost day trading, you are forced into a limited holding period and pay a guaranteed transaction cost of 8% to 15% of your notional (I'm guessing they copy the payment structure of FD/DK). I can't see this catching on at all but who knows.
Picasso Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I think I know just the savvy folk this product is geared towards.... https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets I can't wait to see hedge funds try to use market sentiment data on those day traders...
ni-co Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I don't get it. Where's the advantage over just the market price of those stocks? Sports leagues don't have a market price—that's why it makes sense there.
