NormR Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I enjoyed reading this year's Jealousy List 2015 from Bloomberg of articles they wished they had published. http://www.bloomberg.com/features/2015-jealousy-list/ Which articles and books would be on your list? (They don't have to be business related.)
Kiltacular Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Thanks for highlighting this link...I read the story about the Cascadia fault when it appeared in the magazine. It is excellent. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/07/20/the-really-big-one
tengen Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Thanks for the link. Here are a few articles I found interesting this year. On Orwell and the language of terror and war: http://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/dec/12/words-on-war-a-summons-to-writers-orwell-lecture An essay on self-help books: https://aeon.co/essays/can-self-help-books-be-better-than-medication-or-therapy The great (US) sushi craze of 1905: http://eccentricculinary.com/the-great-sushi-craze-of-1905-part-1/ Merry Christmas!
innerscorecard Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 My favorite book of 2015 that was published this year was Alex Gurevich's The Next Perfect Trade. He's a leveraged trader, but I think the principles apply for value investing, too. Actually, I think it's interesting that the book has gotten as little attention as it has.
