ourkid8 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 http://finance.yahoo.com/news/fairfax-declares-annual-dividend-133000102.html I am happy it's at $10usd /share. (Canadian investors get a forex boost) Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (FFH.TO)(TSX:FFH.U) announces that it has declared a dividend of US$10.00 per share on its outstanding multiple voting and subordinate voting shares, payable on January 27, 2015 to shareholders of record on January 20, 2015. Applicable Canadian withholding tax will be applied to dividends payable to non-residents of Canada.
One World Trader Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Does this mean FRFHF holders receive a dividend the same day? Thanks
JEast Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 US stockholders get the dividend the same day minus the 15% withholding taxes per the US/Canadian tax treaty. However, some lucky US Roth/IRA accounts get the full amount as some brokers forget to pull the tax out. I have seen over the years the same broker take the tax and other years forget the tax. Good Luck.
