Individual hobbyist investor with a (hopefully) long runway. Mostly in index funds but a % I allocate myself for fun because I enjoy the combination of endless things to learn, the ability to actually measure your performance objectively, and the requirement to remain disciplined and often contrarian temperamentally.

In addition to the enjoyment, I invest primarily with the goal of a) financial security and b) to enable charitable contributions. Regarding the latter, I am primarily a fan of "effective altruism" and in particular GiveWell, a charity evaluator and allocator to global health causes.
