i would suspect that it is because most of zinc mohnish bought at very low Prices. around $3-4 per share. therefore i think it is growing to 15%

the euro is going down very quick. i bought a lot of Long term us stocks at euro usd 1,40 so this is a nice boost to all my us Holdings, and i think a lot of european Investors here in the Forum also enjoy this Thing. but now my question, what do you do now? i believe that the euro will fall further and maybe dip under 1. the us is much stronger than the euro These days. do you hold your us Holdings without forex hedge now, or with forex hedge? or what do you do in this Situation? would be interesting to hear thoughts. i maybe trim some us Holdings and expand more in the europeans.

yes absolutely :). as a whole i find ackman great and his Investment really nice value Investments. all of his company´s doing great.

iam right now reading the issue. really nice. ackman on fannie and Freddie. We saw this as different from Fannie (FNMA) and Freddie (FMCC) because we thought MHFI was a potential double, while we think we can make 25x our money in Fannie and Freddie. A small investment in Fannie and Freddie can still be very material in terms of profits for the firm, yet if something happens and we lose our entire investment, we won't really notice. For MHFI to be a meaningful contributor, it would have to be a big investment.

merkhet would be great to hear from you and from the other members of this board, what are your General thoughts about fair value of fannie and Freddie of the common shares? ackman says 40-50$. i think if some things go right (court case and so on) we certainly can have a share Price around 13-20$ for the beginning.

really ugly. i sold out my stake few days ago. made a mistake. sure sistema has had great assets but the government is too big. this was a mistake from me to invest in a Special Situation like this. glad to be out.

What makes you think theyll offer a price? I think theyll just take the assets for nothing and jail anyone they can get their hands on. i think they will give him a symbolic Price. not much, but a Price that they can say we bought this Thing legally. thereafter he is a free man or he not cooperate with Putin and co and he will lose everything.

I also think they want bashneft cheaply. They say to him, give as bashneft to this price and your free. But i think the share downturn is to much.
