  1. Not sure what about that is humorous, but ok! I do apologize though, I was being very rude for no reason. @Parsad
  2. Nah I’m just saying how it is, adding it at the end of every message makes it seem very fake
  3. Your “Cheers!” At the end of every post comes off as very cocky and annoying, maybe think about changing that. You sound like a tool.
  4. SOXL chart is at meme coin levels
  5. Open source models being more widely adopted should be a warning to anybody that thinks this capex explosion is sustainable. Running open source models locally is where the future is headed, especially if chips get more power efficient with AI. This is why I think the current data center narrative that the entire market is being held up by is very dangerous. Also anyone claiming “AGI” is coming is just talking about of their ass. It’s impossible for AGI to appear out of thin air from throwing more compute at LLMs.
  6. That’s why Anthropic and OpenAI want to IPO ASAP. There isn’t a moat in LLMs, and there never will be.
  7. You can’t apply logic to this situation!! The mag-7 and OpenAI/Anthropic will be worth $20 trillion dollars each! Your point about the buildout creating overcapacity is exactly what I’m thinking too. Chip companies, “neoclouds” memory companies, are all going to get smoked long term and are shitty places to put your capital. companies that spend virtually no money and are able to build products on this infrastructure will be the winners. People are acting like these behemoth companies can never fail, which is completely ridiculous. With the way they’re spending money right now there’s definitely a possibility of it happening. Meta is one of those companies and it’s a lot riskier than people think.
  8. https://www.investors.com/news/technology/cerebras-stock-possible-index-inclusion/ When indexes stop caring about rules that are in place for a reason that should be a signal as to what kind of market we’re currently in.
  9. I think this will come down to, 1. How many data centers are actually being built and if they’re even operational. 2. How much cash Anthropic and OpenAI are burning to run their models. 3. LLMs eventually don’t improve anymore and we’ve been throwing trillions in compute at something that has hit a wall. honestly if any of those 3 things end up being true then I see the whole semi/AI train slowing and bringing the whole market with it.
  10. Surely this could never end badly right??
  11. I wish more people got angry over stuff like this. What the hell kind of precedent does this set for the country. Such an awful look, makes me not even want to live here anymore.
