Great to see how Warren is able to separate his own likes from what customers are looking for (Geico.com vs landline sales). That is a very difficult thing for most people, especially when we have capital available to allocate. It is a huge problem for me, virtually all of my mistakes are the result of torturing reality to meet my biases.

 

Also liked his reference to Sir Christopher Wren's epitaph at St Paul's Cathedral: "Look around you..."  describing what America has accomplished with a system that unleashes human potential over the past 236 years! It is easy to connect this to his statement "It is much more risky to stay out of the market than it is to stay in it". Best advice for permanent capital.
