Studesy Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I would love to hear about experiences with different stock screener's or back-testing tools used by members of this site. I have recently been using Screener.co The data feed on screener.co is provided by Thompson Reuters and covers pretty much every market in the world. However, I have found that many data points are n/a for many Canadian TSX and especially TSX Venture companies. For US companies, the data seems complete for the most part. Does anyone know of a better option for Canadian screening via a website, software, or online brokerage?
NormR Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 There are relatively few free Canadian screeners. You can probably get globe gold via a discount broker. Mind you, data on Venture listed firms will likely be sparse. Even Bloomberg seems to fail at the small cap end in Canada. CPMS/Morningstar might provide better coverage for the space but I don't use their 'pro' products at the moment.
