Last time I checked, none of those companies are for sale in their entirety.

But would they announce it? If Berkshire is their buyer of choice, wouldn't they go directly to Buffett (especially now that everybody knows he has the pile of cash)?

I like the idea of ITW.  I guess there may be some synergies with some of these logistic plays.

 

I still think Mars, Munich Re (thanks to another poster here) or a utility would be first choices.
