From what I can tell, his fund is up about 13% annually since 2004 (helped by subprime bets). I'm sure some of you guys know a ton about him. What do you guys think of him? He likely made a decent return on his short of the equities in that sector. He was a colleague / mentor of both Meredith Whitney and Alice Schroeder at Oppenheimer.
