Steady Stream of Net Outflows from Domestic Funds

Anyone else surprised at how scared the retail investor seems to be of domestic markets in the second half of this year ?

I understand how 2008 and 2009 impacted people, but 2009 and the first half of 2010 didn't see movement like this.  I don't quite understand it.  I'm happy to see it, but don't get it.
