Modern version of Moody's manuals / alternatives to IB industry primers

Does anyone have good sources (magazines, databases, books) that describe companies and or industries similar to the old moody's manuals? So less focus on data, but more on understanding of industry dynamics and company positioning etc. I love e.g. the big IB industry primers but don't have access to those anymore.
