rukawa Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I am often interested in old news, articles, analyst reports on companies because I want to know why they had a lot multiple in the past. I haven't found a good method of getting this though. For example right now I am trying to figure out why Monsanto had such a low multiple in 2003. Any suggestions on sites/subcriptions etc that maybe useful for historical info.
Guest Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I don't have a good resource for article (except google searches) but I'd imagine it's a couple things. First, in 2003, the US was just starting to recover from the dot com bust. Secondly, Monsanto was charged with poisoning people (some things never change): http://www.organicconsumers.org/Toxic/monsanto_pcbs.cfm
Guest Schwab711 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Can't help too much but here's some links that may help: http://www.ipl.org/div/farq/newsFARQ.html http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ http://www.labnol.org/internet/old-newspaper-articles/18689/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:List_of_online_newspaper_archives#United_States Depending where you live, the main branch of your local library may be a great place as well.
