I'm currently researching a turnaround franchise conglomerate. They have grown well this last year and even as we speak. I have decent competency in evaluating food service companies as I have 7 years of experience in almost every level of Food and Beverage. I am keeping it a low position because there is still possibility of catastrophic risk. However, they recently started a commodity trading business in the middle east. I'm exercising caution as this company is headquartered in Nevada. I was curious if anyone here knows the net margins on this type of business I'm assuming it is low in the 2.5-5% range. I had a friend who does this type of business on a smaller scale, but those are government contracts where he has an in. His margins are much better. Here's the info I have on the business: $150.58 million in revenue in the first two months of operation. Sadot (the trading subsidiary) currently focuses on international shipping of physical food commodity items such as wheat, soybean meal, corn, etc. Shipments are via cargo ships that can range between 25,000 to 75,000 metric tons. The ticker is GRIL if you're interested. CEO has done a couple successful turnarounds before, but seems to have left one randomly with no explanation. I do own a few thousand shares.
