Has anyone heard of Arrowstreet Capital or Bruce Clarke? They recently reported a 13.8% stake in Biglari Holdings (no previous position) making it the 2nd largest holder of BH behind BH itself.

I can only hope this is the beginning of Steak n Shakes popping up across the country in metropolitan areas. I can already envision one in downtown Chicago!

What was Biglari's cost basis on PMIC?

Both were elected to the board yesterday.
"At the annual meeting of the shareholders of CCA Industries, Inc. held on August 4, 2011, the following directors were elected by the Common Stock shareholders:
Sardar Biglari, 3,160,862 votes for, 241,409 votes withheld
Dunnan D. Edell, 2,413,839 votes for, 988,432 votes withheld
Philip L. Cooley, 3,139,009 votes for, 263,262 votes withheld "
Thoughts?

Looks like CBRL is proactively dealing with BH's recent activity. They just elected Coleman Peterson to their board.

Looks like someone named Bradley Louis Radoff just acquired 5.0% of PMIC as well. Anyone know this guy or his affiliation?

Have there been any new developments with CAW? Last I heard Sardar was supposed to meet with CAW management on 2/11.
-
Yes - BH is scheduled to release after market close today.
CAW appears to be a company that used to generate stable free cash flow but has significantly decreased over the past two years. I would assume Biglari views this as another turn around opportunity similar to SNS.
Meet up around Biglari Holdings Annual Meeting this Thursday?

Ragu - can you post notes from the meeting for those of us who won't be able to make it but are interested in hearing the latest from Sardar?
