Afternoon all. Just wanted to share a thought experiment I wrote about a year ago. I had intentions of posting it sooner, but was delayed for personal reasons. Better late than never! Would love to hear anyone's thoughts on my post.
The value of a long-term orientation has been well-documented, but I thought I'd write my own perspective about the subject, to which multiple negative feedback loops will persist to make it difficult to think beyond 5 years. An inability to truly alter our environment would reduce our innate ability to maintain good temperament.
To that point, I partially disagree with Buffett's statement of good temperament being a genetic thing.
