Life is Short

I recently re-read this and thought some of you might like it...

"When I ask myself what I've found life is too short for, the word that pops into my head is "bullshit.""

"If you ask yourself what you spend your time on that's bullshit, you probably already know the answer. Unnecessary meetings, pointless disputes, bureaucracy, posturing, dealing with other people's mistakes, traffic jams, addictive but unrewarding pastimes."

So it boils down to bullshit avoidance,

Seek out things that make a difference,

Stay away from the toxic,

Be unconventional and authentic.

"Cultivate a habit of impatience about the things you most want to do"

Sometimes, one wonders if writing on these boards makes a difference.

Sometimes it does.

Thank you dcollon

Well, for those of you who care to learn about happiness and what cause it, you may found this interesting.

"What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness | Robert Waldinger"

Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll.

also bajillions of bucks, CoBF, fame, Internetz, superpowas, youth, vintage youth, exploding kittens, Instagram, cheese and good night's sleep.

Great article.  Thanks for posting.

Sometime when I am making a big decision or evaluating something I find it helpful to view it from the perspective of my deathbed.  It puts things in the proper perspective.
