This short TED-talk may be of interest with the Berkshire holding structure in the back of your mind:

If you want to build a business that lasts, there may be no better place to look for inspiration than your own immune system. Join strategist Martin Reeves as he shares startling statistics about shrinking corporate life spans and explains how executives can apply six principles from living organisms to build resilient businesses that flourish in the face of change.

Any predictions, which current businesses will be around for 100 more?

Toyota is mentioned in this talk, that would be one of my picks to last a long time. May or may not be just making cars!

Would like to think Berkshire will, have to see though what happens with the next CEO.

The private business pond is likely to have more of this kind of fish. Ownership interest is too dilute in public businesses. Too much tinkering happens with each new CEO.
