Capital IQ -- alternative for private investors?

Movies and TV shows (general recommendation thread)

Sorry, didn't realize this was folk related. I never appreciated the Beatles until I started learning how to play keyboard. They knew nothing of music theory & yet they used damn near every element in a hugely diverse body of work. Sir George Martin was classically trained and had a huge impact on them with his orchestral addition of strings, etc. -

Does it need paint? May I suggest Benjamin Moore?

Added a little SoftBank to make it a 2.6% allocation.

Trimmed 1/3 of my highest cost basis in WFC for a high single digit gain. It's now a 7.6% position with a lot more green than before. If the asset cap gets lifted & markets run it up, I'll probably sell the rest.

I really like Ray. He keeps a good work life balance, and all the people he kills pretty much deserve it. -

Australian crime drama. Very good. https://www.hulu.com/series/mr-inbetween -
I'd rather risk holding BRK & maybe overpaying for a basket of ADSK + ROP + SFTBY + TYL than paying to see if a leopard might change it's spots.

If he would've sold BB into the WSB mania, I would've held on but... ...where's that confounded bridge?

The new ad slider at the bottom of the page was a bit jarring at first, but I got used to it quickly and now find it less obtrusive than inline ads. AJAX page updating is significantly better than having to refresh when back-paging, as on the old site. Maybe it's just me, but I still find the menu system to be inefficient from a standpoint of usability & SEO. Starting at this page, https://thecobf.com/forum/ The link "Investment Forum" offers a Javascript dropdown for "Politics". Crawlers are going to expect to see investment related material but will be lead to something completely different and subsequently the pages will get a downvote from them, which means they'll be indexed significantly lower (if at all), than competing sites. --- A site should have a menu system with descriptive top level links in order to SEO well, and also to provide "don't make me think" usability. This menu system isn't even in the ballpark unless you're selling calendars, staffs & lumber. --- A huge portion of crawler upvotes come from inbound links. A site should have simple methods of allowing other webmasters to create links for inclusion in their content. The more inbound links with similar content, the better. A solid menu system that describes site content helps achieve this. Just my banged up and tarnished 2 cents towards improving user experience & site visibility to search engine(s).

Having some FOMO cash keeps me from selling something (that I shouldn't) just to generate some FOMO cash.

Agreed. I believe most of us have a slightly different personality / style, depending on the venue. Personally, I've been trying my best to respect the CoBF society by reserving my inane rants for Twitter & Reddit. IRL, I vacillate between personas with varying degrees of control. Same… I use Apple Notes extensively for numerous subjects. Allowing the insertion of images was a game changer for me. iCloud sync works amazingly well across the ecosphere.
